On May 11, the 10 distinguished finalists competing in the 2009 WINE WOMEN AWARDS gathered at the Hotel Bristol in Paris for the final competition and award ceremony.
In this final event of the contest, a prestigious jury of wine professionals, including previous WINE WOMEN AWARDS winners judged the candidates on their wine knowledge, their tasting skills, and their ability to communicate about wine to give the WINE WOMEN AWARDS in the Professional and Amateur competitions.

The final took place on Thursday June 16^th 2005 at the Hotel Bristol in Paris.
From the 167 candidates of 20 different nationalities who entered, five finalists in each of the Professional and Amateur categories competed for the international title of Wine Woman of 2005.
The candidates were tested during the final on their general and technical knowledge of wine, but what set this competition apart was the emphasis on their personal approach and their experience of wine.
